Join FLIC staff to let elected officials know your opinion on important current legislative topics
Congressman Tom Reed, Senators Charles Schumer and Kristen Gillebrand; as well as President Trump need to know what you think. So do New York Assembly Member Barbara Lifton and State Senators Tom O’Mara, Jim Seward, and Michael Nozollio and Governor Cuomo.
We will have pre-addressed,postage paid postcards ready for your review and signature. We will also have pizzas and beverages!
HOW: You can select one of the topics we have targeted: Medicaid and ACA changes, increased pay for personal care aides and other assistance staff, transportation options for people with disabilities; OR you can write your own postcard on issues you are concerned about.
Either way it’s easy as (pizza) pie.
WHO is INVITED: Anyone and everyone is welcome. Service recipients, service providers, family, friends, board members, and members of the community. Stop in for 5 minutes or stay for lunch.
WHEN: Wednesday, February 15, 12:30 – 5:00 at FLIC 215 Fifth Street
We will also continue this campaign at a table in our reception area, so if you can’t come on Wednesday, stop by our office at 215 Fifth Street anytime Monday – Friday, 9 – 5.
Together, people with and without disabilities, can influence disability legislation, policy, and access to resources. Disability rights are human rights!
